Our vineyards are situated between the confluence of two rivers, planted in the gravels and located in the heart of Brightwater Village. For over 55 years in the region of Brightwater, our family has a proud history of farming. We are locals and care about the land, this is where we live. We work hard to ensure that our wines express the very land that they are grown on.

Family owned and operated for three generations, we are a boutique Nelson winery with a focus on producing balanced, elegant and food friendly wines.

Nestled between the Wai-iti and Wairoa rivers, our vines thrive in free draining alliuvial soils. The riverbanks are adjorned by the native Kowhai tree with its prolific bright yellow spring flowers (New Zealand's national flower), popular with the abundant bird life.

You will find our wines are carefully crafted, balanced, and consistently surprise with their complex tones, and polished finish.

Nelson is NZ’s dark horse wine region and the hot value tip for the next decade for anyone who likes wine from Marlborough. As Lisa Perotti-Brown, the new face of Wine Advocate, tweeted: “Tho located in the shadow of Marlborough, the wines r anything but!”. Nelson is Marlborough’s small neighbour with only a couple of dozen wineries, situated on the North-west tip of the South Island the region consistently wins more awards than any other NZ wine region per hectare of vines planted.
